Frequently asked questions
What does thedb do?
We create custom dashboards that bring your key business metrics together in one clear, easy-to-use display.
These dashboards can include information and insights that are not readily available within standard CRM reporting. Instead of checking multiple systems, spreadsheets and platforms, your team can view the most important information in one central location.
Where does the information come from?
We connect your dashboard to the systems your business already uses through secure API integrations.
Depending on your requirements, this may include:
- Microsoft Graph API
- Meta's API for Facebook and Instagram
- Your real estate CRM, such as Vault, Agentbox or another supported platform
- Other business software and data sources
Establishing these integrations correctly is one of the most important parts of the setup process. Once connected, information can flow efficiently between your systems and dashboard.
Where is the information stored?
There are two main data-storage options.
Google Sheets
Your information can be stored in a Google Sheet that you own and control. You provide thedb with the required access so the dashboard can read and update the relevant information.
This is generally the simplest and most cost-effective solution.
SQL database
For businesses requiring a more robust and permanent solution, information can be stored in an SQL database.
This option has a higher initial cost but provides greater flexibility, scalability and control. It may also allow for a more customised, one-off system build with less reliance on ongoing subscription-based services.
We will recommend the most suitable option based on the amount of data you manage, your reporting requirements and how you intend to use the system.
How often is the dashboard updated?
Our dashboards are designed to display live or near-live information.
Most connected data will appear on your dashboard within a few minutes of being updated in the original system.
Some information cannot be updated instantly. For example, online open-home information or data collected from third-party websites may be checked every one to two hours.
The exact update frequency will depend on the platform, its available API access and the type of information being displayed.
How are tasks and to-do lists managed?
Tasks and to-do lists can be delivered through the communication platforms your team already uses, including Microsoft Teams and Slack.
This allows tasks, reminders and updates to be managed in a familiar environment rather than requiring your team to adopt another standalone system.
We also offer upgrade options that incorporate AI agents. These agents can help manage information, update records, create tasks and respond to instructions provided through text or voice.
The final setup can be customised around your team's existing workflow and the level of automation you require.
